Since the release of his album Joined Ends in 2014, Dorian Concept has performed everywhere from Glastonbury to Sónar to MoMA PS1's Warm Up, deliberately moving below the radar from then on. Since then, he's spent the time to say goodbye to his actually wonderful production process and instead develop a brand new sound that no one could have expected like this

Inspired by the eclecticism of numerous musical generations (60s jazz, 70s fusion, 80s neo-prog rock, 90s electronica), Dorian Concept sought to replicate "modern" musical elements using old-fashioned methods, playing live and recording deceptively digital sounds in the service of an ironic "parody of nostalgia."

As expected, the result - for all its calculated and conceptual deliberation - is refreshingly unpretentious: dizzying crescendos, cacophonous breaks and formidable rhythms are both expertly produced and childlike, hyperactive and hyper-focused.
