SAME is the first release by 'Phenomenal World' Michael Fischer, Philipp Quehenberger, and Didi Kern who are no strangers to the Viennese music scene. Their collaboration, grown from diverse musical contexts, results in a fascinating fusion of sound and rhythm that is both exciting and innovative. Their joint project is called "The Phenomenal World."

Michael Fischer, equipped with a feedback saxophone, unfolds a soundscape characterized by unexpected sounds and drone-like structures. His ability to combine key noises with amplified vocal lines lends the music a humorous yet profound dimension.

Philipp Quehenberger, with his harmonic and deep bass foundations, also forms the backbone of the trio. Through his sonic experiments, he gives the improvised passages a solid foundation that prevents the music from drifting off track. Instead, it remains structured while maintaining an accessible depth that captivates the listener.

Didi Kern complements the ensemble with his dynamic drums, which lend each piece a vibrant variety. He alternates between melodic elements and intensified rhythmic bases, giving the music a stunning pulsation.
